Why Get This Book

Family devotions don't have to be long to matter. They just have to happen. Little Visits with God, a Lutheran classic from Jahsmann and Simon, gathers more than 200 devotions on everyday activities, the Ten Commandments and the holidays. Each one comes with discussion questions, Bible verses and prayers, so even the most tired parent can lead it. It's for families with young school-age kids who want a simple daily rhythm around God's Word. Honest note: some examples feel old-fashioned, so you may need to update them in your own words. Next step: read Deuteronomy 6:6-7 and do one visit together after supper tonight.
