Why get this book
Maybe you've heard someone claim Martin Luther led straight to Hitler. After World War II, that idea spread widely, pushed by journalist William Shirer and repeated by scholars. Uwe Siemon-Netto shows that the link is an unfounded cliché and points readers back to what Luther actually taught. It's a solid book for Lutherans who want to answer that charge with facts and grace. Honest note: it's history and argument, so readers looking for a devotional won't get one here. Next step: read Exodus 20:16 and pray for truthfulness in how we speak about others.
